Urbandale garages already have decades of oil in the concrete
Urbandale’s ranches and split-levels have garages that stored one more car than they were designed for, plus a mower and a generation of oil drips. Those stains need to be ground, not painted over. A kit floor fails here for that reason, not because the color was wrong.
Basements in these houses are the weekend project people finally fund. We look for efflorescence and for cracks that move with the season. A metallic floor is a good fit only after that check, usually in a room that is already heated.
